4 Ingredients to Make Your Own Homemade Toothpaste

goodness in one hit

Recently a article came out informing consumers that some of the natural toothpastes aren’t so natural. I did some research and created my own. I wish I would have down it sooner. My mouth feels refreshed and my teeth cleaner. I’ve been using it for a week now.

Below are the ingredients and their benefits.

Sea salt(fine)/Baking soda(aluminum free) helps bad breath and tooth decay. They also help to whiten teeth.

Peppermint/Cinnamon essential oils add flavor. Each oil has its on individual benefits. Peppermint essential oil is anti bacterial and anti viral. Cinnamon essential oil is anti bacterial.

Coconut Oil helps make a nice paste like consistency. It’s also anti bacterial and anti fungal.

You can add stevia to sweeten your toothpaste if the salt is a bit much. Studies show it can slow reproduction of bacteria.

Here’s the recipe:

3 parts Baking soda

2 parts Coconut oil

1 part Sea salt (fine)

12-15 Drops of Peppermint/Cinnamon essential oil.

I used a medium size mason jar

Try out the recipe and store it in a cool place. Have you made your own toothpaste? What ingredients did you use?

  1. Cousin Christina hope all is well with you. I enjoyed your post on how to make homemade toothpaste and I was wondering how much would charge me if I wanted to buy a jar from you.

    Thanks,

    Your Cousin Derrick
